Changements à l’édition 2025

English below – Ayant pour but d’améliorer le déroulement du Challenge printanier, voici les principaux changements apportés à l’édition 2025. Nous espérons que ceux-ci agrémenteront de façon positive votre expérience à ce tournoi… le plus prestigieux au Canada!

  • Nombre de parties : Retour à 5 parties pour l’ensemble de toutes les rondes.
  • Challenge individuel : Cet événement prendra une pause.
  • Double Mystère : Cet événement est déplacé à la Ronde 1.
  • Pots d’équipe : Nouveauté pour la Ronde 2. Consultez les détails ICI.
  • Équipes régionales : Retour au mélange de toutes les équipes pour la Ronde 2.
  • Ronde 1 – Horaire:

    • 25 avril 2025 : 9h00 – 14h15 – 19h30 > 54 équipes extérieures
  • Ronde 2 – Horaire :

With the aim of improving the format of the Challenge printanier, here are the main changes made to the 2025 edition. We hope that these will enhance your experience at the most prestigious Canadian tournament in a positive way.

  • Number of games: Back to 5 games for all the squads.
  • Individual Challenge: This event is cancelled.
  • Mystery Double: This event is moved to Squad 1.
  • Team Pot Games: New event to Squad 2. Read the details HERE.
  • Regional Teams: Back to the mix of all teams for Squad 2.
  • Squad 1 – Schedule:
    • April 19, 2025:1:00pm > Regional teams
    • April 25, 2025: 9:00am – 2:15pm – 7:30pm > 54 other teams
  • Squad 2 – Schedule :
    • April 26, 2025:
      • 9:00am (Top 18 teams of Division C)
      • 2:15pm (Top 18 teams of Division A)
      • 7:30pm (Top 18 teams of Division B)
    • April 26, 2025:
      • 8:00am (Bottom 6 teams of all three divisions)
  • Final: April 27, 2025 at 1:15pm
  • Entry fee – Team event: $560

Isabelle Rioux s’impose au CP2024

English below – Deux prix de 100$ furent offerts par le Resto Rodi de Chicoutimi pour récompenser les performances féminines. La semaine dernière, je vous ai présenté Catherine Jean. Cette semaine, c’est au tour d’Isabelle Rioux de Trois-Rivières. Appelée à remplacer au pied levé, elle réussit à terminer avec la meilleure moyenne de la deuxième ronde de qualification avec un total de 1031 en cinq parties (206,20). Félicitations pour cette belle performance!

Two prizes of $100 were offered by the Resto Rodi in Chicoutimi to reward women’s performances. Last week, I introduced you to Catherine Jean. This week, it’s the turn of Isabelle Rioux from Trois-Rivières. Called upon to replace at short notice, she managed to finish with the best average of the second qualifying round with a total of 1031 in five games (206.20). Congratulations on this great performance!

English below – Catherine Jean fit les choses de la bonne manière à son baptême du Challenge printanier en avril 2024. La jeune femme de la Côte-Nord termina avec la plus haute moyenne féminine de la première ronde se méritant ainsi la bourse de 100$ offerte par le Resto Rodi de Chicoutimi. Elle réussit des parties de 157, 222, 197 et 204 pour un total de 780 (195). Félicitations Gauchère! #LeftyLegacy

Catherine Jean did things the right way at the Challenge printanier last April. The young woman from the Côte-Nord region finished with the highest female average in the first round, earning the $100 prize offered by the Resto Rodi in Chicoutimi. She bowled 157, 222, 197 and 204 for a total of 780 (195). Congratulations Lefty! #LeftyLegacy

Simoneau par deux quilles!

English below – Wow! La course à la meilleure moyenne Pourvoirie Monts-Valin du Archer fut épique! Seulement 22 points séparèrent la première de la cinquième position. C’est donc Jonathan Simoneau qui s’empara de la bourse de 500$ avec une moyenne de 219,11 (1972 en neuf parties). Mention spéciale à Dominic Belley, quilleur évoluant au Salon de Quilles Le Dallo, qui termina au 4e rang avec 216,78. À noter que seules les neuf parties de qualification furent calculées pour ce prix. Considérant le défi que représenta le patron Kegel du Challenge printanier, nous ne pouvons que féliciter nos quilleurs et lever notre chapeau à Jonathan.

Wow! The race for the best average sponsored by Pourvoirie Monts-Valin du Archer was epic! Only 22 points separated the first from the fifth position. Jonathan Simoneau took home the $500 with an average of 219.11 (1972 in nine games). Special mention to Dominic Belley, a bowler from the Salon de Quilles Le Dallo, who finished in 4th place with 216.78. Please note that only the nine games of qualifications were taken to give this award. Considering the challenge of the Kegel pattern this year, we can tip our hats to all the participants and especially Jonathan.

Alexandre Duchesne triomphe en simple

English below – Le jeune Alexandre Duchesne de Baie-St-Paul fit flèche de tout bois lors de la portion en simple du Challenge printanier 2024. C’est à la troisième ronde qu’il prit son envol avec une partie de 269. Puis, à la ronde suivante, celle qui devait déterminer le Top 4 de la finale PBA, il réussit 239 pour ainsi s’emparer du deuxième rang. À sa confrontation l’opposant à Maxime Boisvert, l’abat était obligatoire au dixième carreau, puis un compte de 8 au minimum. C’est exactement ce qu’il fit et il gagna par la marque de 187 à 186. En grande finale, il affronta Patrick Girard. Il n’en fit qu’une bouchée avec une victoire convaincante de 222 à 167. Le quilleur de l’équipe Canada Autos Sélection mit la main sur une bourse de 900$. Bravo!

The young Alexandre Duchesne of Baie-St-Paul conquered the singles portion of the 2024 Challenge printanier. It was in the third round that he really took off with a 269-game. Then, in the next round, the one that was to determine the Top 4 of the PBA Stepladder final, he shot 239 to take the second place. In his confrontation against Maxime Boisvert, it was a must-strike situation in the tenth frame. He got the job done and got the 8-count he needed to secure the win by one pin: 187 to 186. JS Lessard Courtier immobilier pour le doublé

English below – Le Challenge printanier 2024 a vu l’équipe JS Lessard Courtier immobilier remporter les honneurs pour une deuxième année consécutive. Félicitations à Jean-Sébastien Lessard, David Simard, Pascal Dextraze et Jonathan Roy. C’est tout un exploit!

Dans la Classe B, c’est l’équipe North Bowl Pro Pro Shop composée de Ryan Munson, EJ O’Melia, Jeremy Bonville et John Munson qui fut couronnée championne. Mention spéciale à Bonville qui réussit la SEULE partie parfaite de la fin de semaine. Elle vint à la toute dernière partie de la ronde finale. Vous pouvez consulter la page Facebook du Challenge printanier pour voir son 10e carreau, les célébrations et entendre les commentaires de son auteur.

Finalement, l’équipe Centre Méga de Rouyn-Noranda gagna la Classe C. Ce quatuor était formé de Jason Bélanger, Sébastien Mercier, Nolan Mercier et Martin Cloutier.

The 2024 Challenge printanier crowned the team of Jean-Sébastien Lessard, David Simard, Pascal Dextraze and Jonathan Roy for the second straight year. Congratulations to Team JS Lessard Courtier immobilier. That’s quite an achievement!

North Bowl Pro Pro Shop (Ryan Munson, EJ O’Melia, Jeremy Bonville and John Munson) finished first in the B Division. Special mention to Bonville who bowled the ONLY perfect game of the weekend. It came in the very last game of the final round. You can check out the Challenge printanier’s Facebook page to watch the 10th frame, the celebrations and hear Bonville’s comments.

Finally, Centre Méga from Rouyn-Noranda won the C Division. The quartet consisted of Jason Bélanger, Sébastien Mercier, Nolan Mercier and Martin Cloutier.

Dernière chance pour le Circuit provincial de grosses quilles

English below – Le Challenge printanier est votre dernière chance d’accumuler des points pour la saison 2023-2024 du Circuit provincial de grosses quilles. Pour l’occasion, les points comptent en double, alors le classement du Top 16 pourrait subir certains changements importants. S’il vous manque une participation pour vous rendre éligible à la finale du 4 mai, profitez de l’occasion pour vous inscrire également au CPGQ. Un bénévole sera sur place pour les inscriptions ou vous pouvez effectuer un virement Interac de 15$ à cette adresse : [email protected]

On vous rappelle que le Top 16 obtient un laisser-passer pour la finale « match-play » le 4 mai en après-midi. Le coût d’inscription est de 75$. Pour tous les autres participants, vous pouvez vous inscrire à un tournoi de qualification le 4 mai dès 9h00. Le coût d’inscription est 100$. Vous pouvez vous inscrire en envoyant un virement Interac à cette adresse : [email protected].

The Challenge printanier is your last chance to earn points for the 2023-2024 season of the Circuit provincial de grosses quilles. For the occasion, points counts double, so the Top 16 could undergo some important changes. If you are missing an entry to be eligible for the final on May 4, take the opportunity to register for the CPGQ as well. A volunteer will be on site for the registration or you can make a $15 e-Transfer to this address: [email protected].

We remind you that the Top 16 gets a bye for the “match-play” final on May 4 in the afternoon. The entry fee is $75. For all the other participants, you can register for a qualifying tournament on May 4 starting at 9:00 a.m. The entry fee is $100. You can enter the PTQ by sending an e-Transfer to [email protected].

English below – Resto Rodi de Chicoutimi est fier d’offrir deux bourses réservées aux femmes. Un prix de 100$ sera remis à la meilleure quilleuse de chacune de deux rondes de qualification. L’an dernier, Stéphanie Dufour-Lavoie de Baie-St-Paul avait été la première récipiendaire avec une moyenne de 213. La journée suivante, Andréanne Blouin de Québec remporta les honneurs avec 199 de moyenne. Qui réussira à se démarquer cette année??

Le Challenge printanier sera webdiffusé!

English below – Wow! Grosse nouvelle! Récemment, j’ai eu la confirmation que le Challenge printanier allait être webdiffusé sur la page Facebook @ChallengePrintanier. C’est un jeune passionné qui sera à la tête de ce beau projet : Matys Bibeau. Matys travaille chez Buffa Distribution depuis peu et il s’est taillé une place de choix à titre d’assistant marketing et préposé à la boutique du pro. Il rêvait de s’impliquer devant la caméra et de partager le feu qui l’habite. Il sera au Salon de Quilles Le Dallo le 25 avril afin de se préparer. Je le remercie pour sa participation et, surtout, pour son intérêt à faire rayonner le Challenge printanier.

Wow! Big news! Recently, I received confirmation that the Challenge printanier was going to be livestreamed on the @ChallengePrintanier Facebook page. It is a young enthusiast who will be at the head of this beautiful project: Matys Bibeau. Matys has been with Buffa Distribution for a short time and has carved out a niche for himself as a marketing assistant and pro shop attendant. ABTech – Équipe championne de la ronde régionale

English below – Pour mousser la ronde régionale du 20 avril 2024, un montant de 200$ fut remis à la meilleure équipe. Cette année, l’équipe ABTech fut couronnée championne. Elle a détrôné Les Avengers. Félicitations à Jeantony Gagné, Pierre-Luc Larouche, Junior Bilodeau et Tommy Bérubé. Cette bourse fut gracieusement offerte par le restaurant Casa Grecque de Chicoutimi.

To boost the regional round that took place on April 20, 2024, a prize of $200 was awarded to the best team. This year, Team ABTech was crowned champion. It dethroned The Avengers. Congratulations to Jeantony Gagné, Pierre-Luc Larouche, Junior Bilodeau and Tommy Bérubé. This award was graciously offered by the Casa Grecque Restaurant of Chicoutimi.
